ALICIA J. COLLINS

President & CEO

“To have made even one person’s life a little better, that is to succeed.” – Thoreau

Alicia has 28 years in community comprehensive development directing her passion for supporting residents, empowering grassroots leaders, organizations and leveraging institutions to transform neighborhoods. Prior to March 2022, Alicia served as a philanthropic professional for 14 years with The Indianapolis Foundation supporting nonprofits in the areas of crime prevention and safety, mental health, intimate partner violence and substance use disorder.

 

Igniting the power within ordinary residents as they discover, strengthen, and elevate their leadership is the humble reward Alicia receives being with and in community. Alicia specializes in resident leadership development, infrastructure development, grassroots organizing, community engagement and outreach, grant management, program design, program management, training, facilitation and curriculum development.

 

A graduate of Indiana University – Bloomington, Alicia earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Certifications include: Graduate of Leadership Training & Development Series for Diversity with United Way of Central Indiana, Resident Leadership Facilitation Trainer and Coach, The Annie E. Casey Foundation, The Women’s Fund of Central Indiana – OPTION Class 2004, Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Program with Lacy Leadership Association, The Annie E. Casey Foundation Collaborative Leadership for Results Program and a Collective Impact Practitioner.

 

Guided by the principles of the 3Rs, Alicia believes all humans and organizations can improve their effectiveness and maximize their ability through the equation of trusted Relationships + aligned Resources that lead to desired Results.
